89 Bush Rd, East Peckham, Tonbridge, TN12 5LJ
We are not open for visitors in winter, as it can get very muddy, but we still run volunteer days throughout winter. Find out more here
If you’re coming by train there are two options. Paddock Wood or Beltring Station. Paddock Wood has more regular trains so the best option if you’re coming from afar.
There are regular trains from London on Southeastern Trains. Take the train from either Charing Cross or London Bridge (usually platform 7 from London Bridge) towards Ramsgate and get off at Paddock Wood. The journey on the train from London is approximately 45 minutes and is approximately £24 for an open return (£13 with a network travel-card).
It is then only a short bus journey from Paddock Wood, and will take approximately 20 minutes to reach F.R.I.E.N.D. The bus to catch is the number 6 and 6a from Whites Corner at the end of the street from Paddock Wood station. The stop to get off the bus is at the church on the corner of Pound Road and Church Lane. It is then a short walk to the sanctuary.
The walk from the station takes between an hour and an hour and a half.
The second option is Beltring station. It's about a 35 minute walk from there. You do have to cross a dual carriage way, so please be careful.
There are bus links from Tunbridge Wells. The bus also passes through Paddock Wood, which is where the train station is. Busses do not run on Sundays.
There is a taxi service from Paddock Wood Station. The taxi company is Streamline, and they can be called on 01892 83 83 83. The taxi fair will be approximately £11 to the sanctuary and will take about 15 minutes. On arriving off the train, cross over the footbridge to the carpark. The address for the sanctuary is 89 Bush Road, East Peckham, TN125LJ. For further details please see www.streamline.travel We highly recommend you book your taxi in advance
You can drive from London to the sanctuary using the M25 and A20.
You can park outside the sanctuary, as close to the fence as you safely can. Please do not park outside the neighbour’s properties. If there is no space, please ask a member of staff where you can park.
The site is flat, although it can be a little bumpy in the field. There is concrete and hard standing from the front gates up to the field, however the kitchen and toilets are in the field. The path up to the kitchen is grass but flat and compacted. The compost toilets have 4 wide steps up to them, and there is an additional accessible compost toilet at ground level, with a wide door. Any other questions please ask, we want to make the sanctuary as accessible as possible to everyone. Send an email to email@example.com with ‘Accessibility’ in the subject line.
Please do not bring your dog friends along because the animals are out and about. Thanks!
